How can I restore iPhone 12 back to factory settings after unsuccessful upgrade to 16 beta?

You must restore the phone to factory settings→Restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support, then restore a backup made before you attempted to install the beta. You should know this, as the legitimate beta is only available to developers and invited seed participants, so you must be a developer or an invited seed participant who received full instructions. If you installed a bootleg version there’s a good chance it corrupted your phone or installed spyware on it.

Chances are good that your son got a bootleg copy, and you may have borked your phone. But follow the instructions in my earlier post to try to recover.
I did all the steps, but get error - your iPhone can't be activated, please update it.

How did you get this beta version? Are you a developer or know a developer that wants you to help them? In that case go to the Developers forum.
