Remove activation lock

You enter the Apple ID and Apple ID Password you used to set up the iPad.

If you are not the original owner and you bought a used device, you'll have to get the previous owner to remove Activation Lock. If this is your reality, you cannot bypass it yourself. Apple won't help you and we can't help. This means if you can't get the previous owner to remove the activation lock or don't know or can't reach the previous owner, either try to get a refund or recycle the iPad.
