My Apple Watch Series 7 won't charge to 100%

This is not the case every time, but it does this enough to be a concern. When it does this, it typically won't charge over 85% after being on the charger over night. I keep both the charging pad and the bottom of my Apple Watch clean but still have this issue at times. Additionally, I use a USB-C port on my M1 Max MacBook Pro as the power source but have tested this in the past using the power adapter also, with the same result. Is there anything else I can try before going the return for a replacement route?

force it to restart. Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, or until you see the Apple logo.

Have a look here: If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on to see if there are any other troubleshooting steps you can run through. Assuming also that you’re using the fast charging cable it came with.
