Microphone icon
I would like to remove the microphone icon from my desktop. I have followed the tips posted here in 2020, but it doesn't work. What do i need to do?
MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.4
Where exactly is it? The desktop itself, the dock or the menu bar?
I've never seen a the mic icon unless I've started an app that requires its use. Actually I'm not sure I've seen it at all. Do you have an app running in background you maybe forget about?
If all else fails, you can use the recovery panel to reinstall your current OS. Doing that will not disturb setting, apps, or data. Of course if it's a setting your selected, you'll retain the issue.
