no keyboard when opening an app and password prompt appears

Hi, I have been having this issue with several apps.

When I open an app that requires a password to access, it prompts a new window, for example, to sign in with my Gmail account. I choose my account and then the password prompt appears. I click the text box to make the keyboard appear but nothing happens. I try to use my apple pencil to write manually my password and nothing happens.

If I touch the text box for a few seconds only "Scan Text"appears.

Please help! I'm solving it by going to another app, writing my password and then copy and paste in the password prompt text box.

Thanks

Hello tinchino,

Just to confirm, it seems like the issue occurs when trying to use the onscreen keyboard with your iPad, correct?

Does the onscreen keyboard not respond as expected at other times as well, or only when you try to enter passwords? Does the issue occur with all apps? Those details will help us get a better understanding of the situation.

In the meantime, the following page has some good information about typing with the onscreen keyboard on iPad: Type with the onscreen keyboard on iPad

Set typing options

You can turn on special typing features—such as predictive text and auto-correction—that assist you when you type on iPad.
While typing using the onscreen keyboard, touch and hold the Next Keyboard Emoji key or the Switch Keyboard key, tap Keyboard Settings, then turn typing features (below All Keyboards) on or off.

Thanks!
