Need a hard drive replacement for my iPod classic

The iPod classic is now considered obsolete. Products are considered obsolete when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than 7 years ago. This article has more information: Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty

Apple discontinues all hardware service for obsolete products, with the sole exception of Mac notebooks that are eligible for an additional battery-only repair period. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products.

The original hard drive used in these units is somewhat hard to come by. There are SD conversion kits that you can fit yourself, or you might find an independent repair shop to do the conversion for you.
