Apple Monthly Installments upgrade question

If I still have 6 payments left on my current iPhone through Apple Monthly Installments (not the upgrade program - it was for 24 payments), is there a trade in option for the old phone (if I buy a new phone) to put the trade in price towards the installments to pay off the old phone? I’m wanting to buy a new phone now vs waiting until December but don’t want to be stuck with two phone payments on our Apple Card for 6 months.

1. you can get a new device but you are on the hook for the other device.
2. You would have to use the trade in value of the older device to pay it off so there are not two payments.
3. When trading in a device they give you an Apple gift card which is not usable towards making payments on your Apple Card.
4. If you go to an actual Apple Store they can put the trade in value towards the new device so the new device payments will be less but there will still be two payments.
