UPDATE: Adobe Master Collection — ALL CS6 Apps Will Work in Mojave
It's possible to get ALL Adobe Master Collection CS6 apps working under Mojave using the following steps:
• Install Mojave (or have a machine with Mojave installed.)
• Update Mojave to the latest version with automatic updates. Disable automatic updates so Catalina does NOT automatically install. CS6 will NOT work with Catalina. Mojave really is the end of the road for it.
• Install Legacy 6 Java from Apple. (Google it.) While it says it's only compatible with High Sierra and Sierra, it works with Mojave. Many CS6 apps require Legacy 6 Java to run. Sometimes, Java will notify you there are newer versions available. Do NOT let it update. Only Legacy 6 Java works with CS6.
• Install Adobe Master Collection from the original installer. Choose trial unless you have your serial number handy. Log into your Adobe account normally.
• Let the Adobe installer install all apps.
• At this point, if you stop, After Effects will not work. It needs a patch. And so do some of the other CS6 apps. Adobe has them.
• Launch Adobe's Application Manager. Let it search for updates. It will assemble a list.
• Click "install" to install all recommended CS6 updates and patches.
Once complete, you should be able to test out each app and run them in MacOS Mojave 10.14.
Since Catalina goes to 64-bit only and Apple's roadmap moves to M1 silicon—Mojave is really the very end of the road for Adobe's venerable long-lived CS6 series. Enjoy squeezing a little more use out of CS6!
