MacAir: cannot close or quit photos.
On my macair, photos is locked. I cannot close or quit app. What can I do?

Option + Command + esc will bring up the Force Quit panel.
Can you think of anything that might have precipitated the freeze? Any AV, helper, fixer, optimizer apps installed? They can interrupt normal processes.
Of course there can be other reason too, but more information is needed to prevent sheer guesswork.
