The MacBook Air models I have are the best products Apple ever built. The oldest one is about 11 years old and still works perfectly. Their newest M1 model is ridiculously fast.

What to Get:
That all depends on how you are preparing to use it. If you run virtual machines, and stream music, and watch movies all at once, then a quad coprocessor with 32GB would do just fine. My Mac has that, and never has it had hardware issues, thus far.
