The search function is not working in my text messages on my brand new iPhone 13 PRO. This phone is literally only 2 hours old. When I try to search for a keyword or a name, no text messages pop up that I know have that word or name in the search field.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
An iPhone that new is still updating the spotlight index which involves text searches. It also may run your battery down. Give it 72 hours.

Thank you for the replies. I did notice the search worked on new text messages I received today. However, the search did not work on the older text messages that got transferred from my old Android phone. I'll see how it goes after a few days.
There wouldn't be any popup. The messages get filtered by the keyword that you entered in the search field.
