I can't select the back up now button in itunes

I keep clicking the back up now button but it won’t let me is there any way you can help? Every once in a while my phone my phone notifies that it has been a few weeks since my phone has been backed up and it asks me to, so I do and then it tell me i can’t.

If you can't back up your iOS or iPadOS device to a computer or restore it from a backup - Apple Support
