Printing Apple News+ articles

It looks like there is no way to do this. Actually it does not breach copyright laws to print news articles for research purposes, so why has Apple (and/or their publishing partners) implemented this draconian policy into their technology? This appears to be a deliberate retarding of the sophistication of Apple technology (e.g. breaking ability to print from screen, a functionality available in all hone computers since the 1980s) with justifiable good legal reason. That's called cutting off your nose (and those of your users) to spite your face. Please change policy and implement required fix forthwith.

Apple is allowed, without providing any explanation, to impose these limits. There is no workaround (beyond screenshotting and printing the screen shots). And, users can form whatever consensus they want (though achieving true consensus with such a diverse group sounds unlikely) but it won't necessarily change what Apple decides to do.

Given the global decline in printer sales, it doesn't sound like such a bad decision, though.

Of course Apple 'is allowed... to impose these limits', it's not a democracy is it? Doesn't stop it being ridiculous, and a backwards step technologically (in order to appease publisher's rights to raise rents on us all in perpetuity). It's not just about printing to paper, it's about keeping a personal record of something, which you can just as easily do printing to PDF should the technology allow for it. In the old days that was newspaper scrapbooks, and now its digital. I've got paper ones going back years on all sorts of trends and subjects. Not a helpful response mr level 10.
