Just curious as to what the best-looking Apple Watch 7 aluminum case might be if I wanted to use a stainless steel link band. Obviously the stainless case would be best, but I’m looking at an aluminum one because of cost. I’m torn between Starlight and Midnight. Thoughts?
I would say Midnight if you are using the dark SS. But do you have an Apple Store near you? You can go look at them in person.
At the risk of sounding terribly geeky …
Keep in mind than an aluminum case (anode) and a stainless band (cathode) might tend to be quite electrolytically “active.”
And the Aluminum might tend to “waste away.”
Of course … as long as it remains dry and salt-free … you’ll probably be fine.
It's also worth remembering that there's a huge number of aftermarket bands available. If you can't find what you want or like from Apple, there are lots of other options.
