Same reason my location says my iPhone is at the house across the street. GPS is approximate.......not exact.

Because, depending on conditions, GPS accuracy can vary. Under optimal conditions, it's usually accurate to within about 16 feet. But that assumes you're outside under an open sky.

If that's happening when you're connected to your home WiFi, it may be picking up the location from your internet provider. As long as you know that it's you logging in, I wouldn't worry about it.
When i log into my Icloud account using two factor authorization , my Apple ID text says i am in Marietta Georgia
I live in and am using my Iphone in the Ft. Myers, Florida area
How can i change the location to show my home location?
Might also be due to the vagaries of “Location Services” …
… it sorts thru a lot of inputs - of which GPS is one - to determine and display your “most probable” location.
i am using my home internet by Comcast
