airpod covereage expired

I received the airpods as a gift, they were purchased from a third party company. Now I can not get them to connect to my phone. All my phone said was that the coverage on the airpods has expired

If your AirPods won't connect - Apple Support


Also please make sure to check if they're still charging or not. Sometimes, they don't connect if the are no longer charging.


If the warranty has expired, you might be charged for the cost of repair/replacement.
