I will been reading an article on Chrome but I want to read it in Reddit so I click the button to go to the app but instead of just opening the article in Reddit it opens the App Store which brings me to the Reddit home page rather than the article I was reading. This happens with other apps as well.

Thanks for reaching out. You said this happens when using the Chrome app. Does the same thing happen when you use another web browser such as Safari for Firefox? If so, it may be an issue with the webpages links.
Should you find this is happening in all browsers, you will want to report it to the website you are visiting.
And if it only happens when using Chrome, let's get you pointed in the right direction. Since Chrome is not developed by Apple, you will want to reach out to Google Chrome Help.
