Forgetting your wi-fi on your iPad will no affect on your iPhone? However, in the explanation of your question, you state you forgot the network on both your iPhone and iPad. All you need to do now is to open Settings>Wi-FI, and select your wi-fi network again and sign in. Until you connect to wi-fi again, you will not be able to access the internet.
