my iPad says software is up to date with IOS 12.5.5 I have turned automatic updates of and on but can't get the Ipad to recognize the need for updates. Tried multiple reboots and backups. How can I get iPad to update software?

It is not possible to update an outdated iPad that run iOS 12.5.5.

Most apps require iOS 14 or later.

Considering a newer type of iPad?
