in call volume too low

Question

in call volume too low

In-call volume is too low for me to hold phone to my ear during a call. I have to use speaker phone to be able to hear the caller. Speaker phone works perfectly and all volume settings are correct. The ear speaker is not dirty and there is not a screen cover on the phone. Any suggestions?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 15
