Hey BorgunBorgun,

It appears that you're having a problem opening Garageband on your Mac, and we're glad to provide assistance.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support -- Please restart your Mac in safe mode and see if Garageband will open. Whether it will or not, restart your Mac normally to exit safe mode. We also want you to be aware that starting in safe mode will take longer than you'd expect:

Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.

If you were able to open Garageband successfully while in safe mode, see if it will open after a normal restart.

Please let us know the results when you're able. If it still won’t open, please include the model of Mac you’re using and the macOS it’s currently on (Apple Menu () > About This Mac).

All the best.
