AppleTV (3d Gen) Slow WiFi

I have an AppleTV, 3rd gen. connected to my WiFi network. Cable speed is 200 Mbps and is solid on the desktop. I measured the speed using the SpeedTest app on the AppleTV and it is 13.4 Mpbs. I measured the speed at the same location as the AppleTV using my iPhone SE (not the latest) using SpeedTest (Ookla) and it was 145 Mbps. I'm using a Synology WiFi router. Distance between the router and the AppleTV is about 20 feet at most. Can someone explain why this is happening or, preferably, how to improve the speed on the AppleTV itself? There is no contention for bandwidth when using the TV, none of my other devices are accessing the Internet at the time (desktop and laptop are asleep and the desktop is hardwired with an Ethernet cable to the router, laptop WiFi is always OFF when not in active use).

OK. I solved the problem by following a tip given elsewhere. I went into Network (on the Apple TV)> Forget Network. Then I rejoined the network, Restarted the TV and tested again. Now I'm seeing 190 Mbps download with Speedtest. Which is close to the maximum.

The 3rd Gen Apple TV does not support Apps, and there is no Speed "channel" for it. so not sure what you used there. Link-> Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support
The 3rd Gen Apple TV is limited to 2.4Ghz which is limited to 54Mbps and can be slower if there are manyWi-fi networks around.
If you have a 4th Gen Apple TV or later that can use Apps,. and downloaded the Speediest by Ookla app make sure you are using the 5Ghz connection rather than 2.4Ghz. As mentioned above 2.4Ghz will be limited to 54Mbps or slower. And may be quite a bit slower, if the network channel being used is congested with other Wi-Fi networks.

Also, the router is connecting to the TV on the 2.4 GHz band; my iPhone and iPod automatically connect on the 5 GHz band. Thing is the TV is the one that needs the bandwidth.

The TV is model MR912LL/A (32GB). I downloaded the SpeedTest app from the App Store, just as I did the HBO Max and Netflix apps. Oh, it's an AppleTV HD.
Not sure which band this supports though.
It is the 4th Gen Apple TV (my error, sorry). How do I choose between the 5GHz band and the 2.4 GHz band though?

Glad you solved it.

If the router only offers one wi-fi network, then there's no way to choose. The Apple TV will connect to whatever is strongest.

If it offers. 5Ghz network label as much, you can directly choose it.

I've only set up one network, which is the default. The router can be configured to allocate bandwidth selectively to certain devices (traffic control). I think it can be used to assign one of the frequency bands to a specific device but I'm not sure; I haven't figured out how to do that or if it's possible. Thanks.
