Help please......I have an iMac - late 2015.

Its not loading pictures in Facebook

Ive been through the settings many times.

Tried wifi and ethernet

I installed OS Monterey a week ago to see if that would solve it

Ive had 2 x 1 hour sessions on the phone with virgin support to try and fix this.

The iMac loads face book pictures fine when its connected to internet via my iphone's 4g hotspot.

Most of the time the Facebook on my iPhone is loading pictures on Facebook fine.

Any help appreciated

Many thanks

Al

It will help us get a good idea of what is causing your problem if you provide a report of your system, that way we do not have to play 20 questions with you. The report we are requesting does NOT provide any personal information and is extremely safe to use. Please navigate to www.Etrecheck.com and download the free version of EtreCheck. Once you have you downloaded the app and installed it, please run the report and save it. This report will help us get a good idea what has been installed on your system and help us be able to diagnose what may be wrong.

When you have your report, you can attach it when you reply to this message and we can then review it and help you determine what is needed to get your system running well again.

I don't see any of the normal suspects, however you do have some issues. The first thing is there is no evidence that you backup your Mac. If I am correct that is a serious problem on your side. Using any computer without a strong backup plan is a 100% guarantee of lost data. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. If you are unfamiliar with Time Machine please refer to Back up your Mac with Time Machine which is pre-installed on your Mac. Time Machine requires an External Hard Disk, many experienced users prefer the OWC Mercury Elite Pro due to its extremely high quality, reasonable pricing and the great service the vendor provide among other reasons.

What I would do in your case is restart in the Recovery Partition (Hold down Command + R on startup) and install Mac OS to see if this may help your issue with FB. This will not affect your data or apps, however it will fill in missing or damaged portions of Mac OS. DO NOT do this though until you have a backup of the computer.
