There are things on launchpad that don't jiggle with the option to delete. There is a link to a google map I've tried dragging to the trash but it won't delete. How do I delete this and other items?

That's the definitive removal technique.
I suggest you contact Apple by using the Get Support link on this page upper right.
Grab it with the mouse pointer (or track pad gesture), drag it upwards to a blank spot on the Desktop, wait to see the word "remove" then release it.
That did not work. Could not drag it to the desktop.
