need suggestions on external hard drive for my 2020 iPad Pro 11”. One I’m trying to use is no good as it’s from stone age, formatted on Mac to suit iPad but does no good. Loading few photos forever and never stops.
external drive needed for photo storage and organizing.

Be aware that you must provide additional power when using an HDD. The iPad alone cannot provide adequate power.
An iPad with a Lightning port must use an Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter - to which you must connect the HDD (via the USB port) and your Power Adapter to the Lightning port of the Camera Adapter. The Power Adapter must be rated at 12W or greater.

For newer models of iPad with a USB-C port, you’ll need a powered USB-C hub.
