Gift card refused.

I have a quick question. I bought App Store & iTunes gift card here in Germany. After switching my region to Germany to redeem the card, the card refused. What popped up in the screen was. This code must be redeemed in the German storefront? Pleased I need a remedy to this.Thanks

Since changing your region to Germany, have you tried restarting, and then see if you can redeem the gift card?
