how do I get music onto an SD card?
I want to download music library onto an SD card for an mp3 player, how do I do that?

First make sure that the files you want to copy are non-protected (not Apple Music subscription tracks), are local on your computer (not in the cloud), and are in a format compatible with your player (MP3, etc.)
Then insert the SD card in the computer, highlight the tracks you want in iTunes/Music, and drag them to the SD card. This puts a copy on the SD card without changing anything in the library.
Start in small batches and make sure the process is working before you do large quantities.
