Bought an iMac air from previous employer

I bought my work computer from my job when I left (2021 MacBook Air ) and then one day it was locked by find my iPhone. I have no contact with IT or anyone in the company as they laid off darn near 74 % of the company and I have no way to get in contact with anyone cause it was about 6 months ago. Is there anything I could do or someway somehow I could show proof to get this fixed

I'm afraid Apple can't help you. Even if you had all the necessary documents, Apple won't unlock a managed device. I know you said you have no contact with anyone in the company, but that's your only option.

If you can't reach them, you could either recycle the device at any store or salvage it for parts to sell.
