I was using my maps for directions and everything was working smoothly but then Siri said “At the right, turn right. .. Sorry. Let me start over. At the light turn right.” The bazaar part that it wasn’t the Siri computer voice. It was a real man’s voice.

The bizarre part is I have to go by what you are writing here. I would recommend to record the Siri responses the next time when this happens.
Change when Siri provides voice responses: Tap Siri Responses, then choose an option below Spoken Responses. Always see the response from Siri onscreen: Tap Siri Responses, then turn on Always Show Siri Captions. See your request onscreen: Tap Siri Responses, then turn on Always Show Speech.
