Apple TV has mild jerkiness or twitch or dropped frames when streaming video

For years now, on every movie, on every streaming service, there is a mild jerk or twitch happening (almost like a dropped frame) every few seconds. Normally I don't notice becomes things are fast-moving in the movie, but it's very noticeable when there is a slow cinematic pan across a scene.

I've seen another thread that recommended trying off cinematic or enhancement mode on the TV, which had my hopes up because that totally sounds like a good solution, and it worked for others. However it did not work for me on my LG TV - I have all that stuff switched off.

I'm 100% sure it is NOT network-related, this is not about buffering or anything like that. I am also not using Airplay or anything. This is a normal Apple TV 4K plugged direct into an LG TV.

Just putting this out there in case someone has ideas.

Ah yes I should have mentioned the model.

OMG, I see the “match frame rate” in Apple TV settings! How did I never see these before (facepalm)

YES! Changing this (and also specifying Dolby Vision) has fixed it!
