Trying to use whatsapp. Requires enabling microphone, but when I go to settings, the microphone toggle is not an option.

Delete WhatsApp and Download again. (Make sure you have the chat backup on iCloud)
Thanks for your suggestion. I have deleted and reinstalled WhatsApp a couple of times, to no avail. The microphone is working on other applications and I’m using it to dictate this reply. Within the WhatsApp application I can chat successfully, just cannot place a phone call because the microphone is not enabled. When I go to settings inside the application and follow on screen directions to go to settings and enable the microphone, I have options to enable or disable contacts, camera, and other items, but no option to toggle the microphone.
