I am unable to find an option to add an item to "find my" on Macbook. Is it possible that there isn't any option to add a device using Macbook and can only be done using iPhone/iPad?

As in what 3rd party device? I don't believe you can add a 3rd party device to Find My specifically. Though there are 3rd party tracking devices, which via an app can track devices. Tile for example is one such device maker who makes tiles, which when attached to an object can track a device.
FindMy is limited to Apple devices.

That won't be possible. You'd need to find out if Belkin has an app for their earbuds and if their earbuds have any tracking software built into the earbuds. That has nothing at all to do with Apple nor Find My.
