Apple music glitch

for the past week; anytime i want to make a song "play next" (ie adding a song to the que) it resets my randomly-shuffled songs back to the same one and pauses the song

Hi kelly2789,

To make sure we're on the same page, you'll be listening to songs on shuffle, then go to add a song to the Up Next queue but it instead, goes to a previously played song and pauses? Can you clarify what you mean by resetting your shuffled songs back to the same one?

Also, are you adding songs into the queue using the step outlined below?

Choose what you want to play next
Open the Apple Music app and play music.
Find a song, album, or playlist that you want to play next.
When you find something, touch and hold it, then choose when you want it to play:
To play your selection right after the song that’s playing, tap Play Next the Play Next icon.
To move your selection to the bottom of your music queue, tap Play Last the Play Last icon.

See and change what plays next
Tap the song that's playing at the bottom of your screen.
In the lower-right corner of your screen, tap Playing Next the Playing Next icon.
From here, you can see and edit your Playing Next and Autoplay queues.
Reorder music: Drag the three lines the Reorder icon next to a song up or down.
Remove a song: Swipe left over a song, then tap Remove.

If you play music that's not in your queue, you'll see an option to clear your music queue. If you choose Clear, then the music in your queue is replaced with the music you've selected to play.

Let us know and we'll continue from there.

Cheers!
