Monterey: notifications always ask "keep on? turn off?" - how to stop the questions

Notifications in Monterey have an annoying habit of asking on every single notification that comes up if I want to keep it on or turn it off. I want the thing to stop asking me this question.

Is there a setting for this hidden somewhere? "Stop asking me"? I don't see one in the system prefs.

Thanks!

Here's what happens -- the notification appears but I can't interact with it, there are two buttons under it, turn off or leave on, I have to say "leave on" every time a notification appears to be able to interact with it. For example, if it's a notification for a zoom meeting, I have to hit "leave on" then I can interact with the notification normally, for example, I can then click on it to open the calendar item and click on the zoom link. I'm assuming there is some setting in Monterey to do with notifications that is having a hiccup and causing this, but I can't figure out where it might be.

The Reminder Application will continue to remind the User until the User Actions the Specific Reminder.

By ignoring the reminder it will reappear until the user either Makes the Reminder as Done or removes the specific reminder.

That is not a Bug macOS . It is by design and without the User Assigning it as Done or removed - it will continue to pester

Sorry but when I get notifications for anything from Notifications Centre, it does not ask if I what to Keep or Dismiss a notification.

The Notification will slide out from Top Right corner of screen for maybe 1.5 seconds and slowed back. If I open the Notification Centre in Top Right of scree, the notification is sitting here awning me to X it as in dismiss or open the alert and action it.

Should say, can not reproduce what you have described

My preferences are set correctly. Let's try again. Since I updated to 12.4 it asks this on every notification. I cannot interact with any notifications until I choose "Leave on" so I can't clear completed reminders without answering the question. I simply want it to go back to acting like it always has since Reminders was introduced in what, OS 5 or 6? I've used it for a long time; this is the first time it has acted up. What changed in 12.4 that might cause this to happen?
