I need a new charger and cord for 13 in
MacBook that was given me. I do not see any serial number to identify. It had 4 ports?
You should be able to find out by going to the Menu>About This Mac.
It should have a model number on the bottom. If it has 4 ports, it's probably not a MacBook, best guess would be a MacBook Pro.
The serial number will be in very faint, quite small font. Some of us need magnifying glasses but it is there unless it was scrubbed off for some "odd" reason.
The assumption here would be that his battery is dead and he he doesn't have a power supply.
