An unknown person is trying to join my Family Sharing

I just got an email from Apple about a very random person joining my family sharing. I then received another email from apple to say that they had left the family sharing. I am confused at how this is possible and concerned for my family's privacy and security.. How can I make sure my family sharing is secure and not free to the public?

Is this a fake apple email?

Regarding your situation, contact Apple Support immediately at https://getsupport.apple.com. None of the users on this forum are employees and we cannot help you.

Also, my apologies, I missed that the person wasn’t your child, but it is still classified as personal information. By the way, sorry if I sound like a jerk or anything. I’m usually more friendly.
