i want to turn off repeat alerts but cant find the option for it anymore. i have the iphone 12 with ios 15.5

Settings > Messages > Notifications > Customise Notifications > Repeat Alerts > [Choose your preferred option]
I have it (iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15.5).
Hmmm that’s interesting because this is how it looks for me
Settings > Messages > Notifications > Customize Notifications > Repeat Alerts
And have you scrolled down below "Notification Grouping" which you show at the bottom of your screenshot and confirmed there is nothing there?
That is where "Customize Notifications" should appear.
