Safari no longer does searches

I have an iMac 27", 2019, 3.7 Ghz 6-Core Intel Core i5, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, macOS Monterey Version 12.4 and since the last update I can no longer do searches through Safari. I tried Dogplie.com and that works. You can type in the exact address & it will go to it, but no searching and google.com will not open.
