How to backup only camera roll photos

iphone does not provide a separate folder for photos taken from its camera. It has a “recents” folder that contains all the images. This is creating a problem for me for backup on cloud. I only want to backup my “camera roll” photos. But since there is no such folder, I am literally forced to either backup all photos or to manually choose each and every photo

is there a way to backup only the photos taken from the camera?

WhatsApp photos being one of the main folder that I don't want to backup. Other than that, there are folders created for 'instagram', for 'downloads'.

If I recall correctly with iCloud Photos...

iOS 12.5.3 and earlier, it is called All Photos

iOS 13 and later it is called Recents

You need to disable iCloud Photos to get back Camera Roll under Photos App.

Settings > [Tap your name] > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photos [Disable], when you disable ensure to select "Remoe from this Device", tap remove.

All Photos will be intact in the iCloud.

Without iCloud Photos enabled you will have Camera Roll
