my old phone is lock i forgot my old passcode, iPhone is disabled to connect to itunes? please help

I forget the passcode of old iPhone is now lock. this is old iphone 8 max. I'm trying to give this as give to my family. the phone is now lock and disable. Please help

iphone disabled Hoping someone can help. I have an old iphone (I think it is a 6s) that no longer has a SIM card but we want to use it as a music player for my daughter. It had a passcode that my husband and I both forgot and tried various options - too many apparently because now the phone says it is disabled and needs to be connected to iTunes. However when we connect it iTunes won't pick it up/recognize it! What are our options? is there some way we can force a factory reset on it? Hoping we don't have to just throw it away. forgot passcode, found it again but locked out of my original iphone 7+ I accidently got locked out of my iphone. Have a different iphone now, since I refound my username and password. The new phone says I can use the new passcode I made up to get the other iphone up and working. It's still disabled. Any idea's???
