Hello and good day! Apple ID password lost, confirmation email address is not in use, how to get back to the system?

My wife has forgotten her Apple ID password, can not go into her account.

To change the password the system sends an email which we are no longer able to read, as she does not use it anymore. The security question birth date is not working, we might have given the wrong date, so no chance to recover with the questions.

We have tried Tenorshare but we are not sure if she has the two factor authentication is turned on, and without this knowledge, it is not advised to use Tenorshare as we maybe will not be able to get back to the phone without the 2 factor aut.

To check if she has the 2 factor aut. we need the apple id password on her phone to get into password and security page, so we are looped. : )

Nay idea how to proceed? Many thanks!

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
