MacBook Air cursors disappear periodically on all the apps we use

My wife and I have two late model Intel chip MacBook Airs running OS 12.4. Since upgrading to OS 12.4, the cursor on both our machines disappear periodically on all the apps we use. It especially happens when we move the cursor off the desktop momentarily. We have to restart our machines to get the cursor to show up again. Anyone have this problem or a solution? Apple Support recommended that we reset the SMC, but that had no effect on our problem.

Do you have more than one display? Do you have an iPad and have Universal Control perhaps active and not realize it?

Go to System Preferences->Displays, click Universal Control and if you don’t want to use it, uncheck the boxes.
