Music Equalizer Preamp No Effect
Have the EQ turned on in the Music app., but the Preamp slider has no effect on volume. Frequency band sliders are working. I wanted to increase the output to my BlueTooth receiver.

Hello docfi,
Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Use the Music equalizer
3.The equalizer’s settings apply to all songs until you change the settings, except for songs that have equalizer presets assigned to them.
4.Select On to turn on the equalizer.
More details can be found here: Adjust the sound quality in Music on Mac
If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? When did you first notice this? Does this happen on multiple user accounts? Do you notice this issue when not using a Bluetooth Receiver?
Good Luck!
Omar_A1,
Thank you for your reply.
I was trying to increase the gain of my Mac's BlueTooth output (the equivalent of turning the volume knob clockwise on a preamp). As you can see in the screen shot with my post, the equalizer is, in fact, active (on). On my Mac, moving the Preamp slider (fader) to the +12 dB position (or to the -12 dB position for that matter) had no effect on the volume. Maybe you can try this on your Mac and see if it does anything.
