How can i log into my old apple id account if i forgot my phone number i used for two step verification and i don’t have access to it?

How can i log into my old apple id account if i forgot my phone number i used for two step verification and i don’t have access to it?

With the older 2 step verification system, the only backup when you cannot get a 4 digit code via SMS text is to use your recovery key which was generated when you first set up 2 step verification. It would be a 14 character alphanumeric code.
Without the SMS number or without the backup code, you will not be able to regain access to an account secured with 2 step verification.
