How to find owner of activation locked phone
I need to know how to find owner of activation locked phone. I got one off of a friend who got it off of a return deal but the original owner is still logged into it.

Your ONLY method is to backtrack thru the custody chain as you have already described.
Until the “locking owner” assists, the phone will remain unusabe.
