uh so like i had an old phone and i forgot the apple id and password and when i try restoring it it says locked to owner. is there anyway i can do some about this?

i explained everything above.

Troubleshooting a Forgotten Apple ID:


Change the Apple ID:

The Apple ID would have been an eMail address you used in the past. So, start with seeing if you can change the Apple ID, at all: If your Apple ID is Locked or Disabled - Apple Support


No Success?

Contact Apple Support:

Ask Apple Support for assistance, being this is an Apple Account that did/does belong to you. Unless you have a proof of purchase, you may not be able to get back into it again. So, see if you can find a proof of purchase (ie original receipt or original packaging).

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
