Why isn't Documents folder accessible remotely?

Hi, all. I'm wondering what's happened with Monterey's permissions that would prevent me from accessing all of my folders and files from another computer in my system.

I'm owner and administrator of all the machines. But when I try to open the Documents folder on a different machine, it just stays empty in the Finder window.

I've gone to the main machine and checked the ownership and permissions. I see that the drive in question is owned by its name. So, for example, if the drive is named, MyHardDrive1, that's also the name of the owner. But my login user name, which is different than that name, is not shown as an owner or with any permission.

If I try to add my login user name to the ownership, it's grayed out.

What am I doing wrong?

Try giving smbd Full Disk Access on the host computer.
