Unblocked but still blocked

I have unblocked a contact but there still blocked .. I’ve checked they have been removed off the blocked list from phone & messages and they have any ideas ?

So this person you had blocked is an iPhone user? If they send you a message, are you receiving it? The fact that they are being send as an SMS does not mean they are blocked. It can indicate they no longer have an iPhone, or there is a problem with their iMessage activation.

How do you know they are still blocked? Is the phone call block, or messages blocked, which is it? Did you restart your phone after removing the block?

Messages are being sent as a text message instead of IMessage and yeh I I’ve restarted and re set the phone
