Lost Apple Watch updated location

I thought lost my Apple Watch well over half a year ago in a separate state from the one I currently live in and figured it was lost for good. However, I came to check the find my app to look for my iPad and noticed my Apple Watch location had been updated to be in my home at 2:04 am today. I’ve been searching through everything and playing its sound (which says it’s playing) and have yet to find or hear anything. Can this be a fluke or has my Apple Watch actually been in my house the whole time?
