Safari slow to load

I recently upgraded to OS Monterey. I noticed Safari is slow to load, and respond, when I'm working on my usual sites, including Gmail. I recently added the Grammarly extension. Is that what's slowing it down? My other extensions are Ghostery and the other one is for tracker prevention/privacy. Any ideas please?

Safari 18.4 slows or stops downloading webpages Frequently, Safari will slow down or stop in the middle of a page load. Sometimes it will free up and continue to load pages, other times, not. Rarely, but it has happened, I'll get a message telling me Safari is using too many resources. I do not have this issue when I attempt to load the webpage in question using another browser. I have found little or no information about similar problems and fixes. Any suggestions on what this issue might be and how I can resolve it? I have not looked at Activity Monitor when this occurs. I will the next time and update this post. I am running Safari 18,4 and MacOS Sequoia 15.4. I have had this problem for some time and suspect it is not related to the version of MacOS.

Safari virtually unusable, slow to load webpages if it manages to load at all Any experiencing this issue? Seems to have developed since OS update to Ventura, I've already checked for updates (I'm on Ventura 13.1 now) and tried all the suggestions on Apple support. Problem still persists to the extent that I've given up using Safari for the time being.

You can either disable or remove one or both of those Extensions.
